Job description

Chris Kelley Contracting is looking for a hard-working skilled laborer to join our growing business. This individual is responsible for keeping job sites organized and clean (about 30 percent of the job). Cleanliness is imperative – it is the first thing customers experience, which represents professionalism. Additionally, this role will work on all aspects of remodeling including everything from digging fence post holes, minor MEP work (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), framing carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall, painting and much more. Being mechanically inclined and good at working with your hands is a must. This role is a great opportunity to get exposure in all facets of residential building.

Requirements:

- minimum of 2 years’ experience with carpentry/residential remodeling

- must be motivated, hard-working and a quick learner (construction is hard, if you are not willing to work hard and learn, please don’t apply)

- experience in maintaining a safe and clean job site

- must have experience with framing and trim work

- basic knowledge and understanding of how to work standard power tools and skill saws

- experience driving a pick-up truck and trailer, is a plus

- experience snowplowing, is a plus

- background check will be conducted prior to hire

- valid driver’s license required

Tasks will include:

- work closely with the crew to help in general carpentry, including demolition, framing, and trim carpentry work – about 60 percent of the job

- hauling trash with dump trailer to the landfill

- going to various jobs throughout Boulder to maintain clean job sites and ensure proper cleaning equipment is available such as trash cans, brooms and dustpans

- making quick and efficient material runs to our local suppliers such as Boulder Lumber, Home Depot and McGuckin’s

This position will be compensated according to experience.
