Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for ensuring the production assembly cell is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. On The Job Trainer (OJT) provides effective training to the assembly cell and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. OJT will assemble products by using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble/test electronic devices. Must learn ISO9001:2015 and ISO13485:2016 protocols as it pertains to production.
● Train new and existing employees on various electronic products.
● Maintain employee training logs.
● Work with Production Supervisor and other Department Leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met.
● Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
● Performs production 1st articles.
● Use basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
● Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to the Production Supervisor and Production Manager.
● Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Shipping/QC, and Material/Warehouse to resolve issues.
● Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
● Complete lot acceptance activities for assigned assembly cells.
● Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Manager.
● Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 6S activities.
● Participate as an active member of the production assembly team and assemble products.
● Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality Procedures.
● Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
● Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Qualifications:
Minimum: Love to work with people and ability to multitask.
Education & Experience:
o 3 months to 1 years of electronic production work experience and IPC 610 knowledge.
o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
o Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
o Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
o Ability to analyze and solve problems.
o Ability to work with others collaboratively.
o Strong organizational skills, lean manufacturing, and 6S.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
