Summary:

The Paragon Door technician position maintains established quality standards to ensure the on-time shipping and continuous production of Paragon Concepts (consistent with established standards, customer expectations and production goals). This position will report directly to the Production Manager and Shop Foreman.

Key Accountabilities:

Safety:

o By following approved safety methods and processes, continuously drive and maintain a safe working environment.

Maintain Quality Standards:

o Continuously ensuring and improving upon all established standards as they relate to their respective product lines.

Order Accuracy:

o 100% confirmation of order accuracy prior to packaging consistent with established standards of Paragon Concepts.

Packaging:

o Package all Paragon Concepts orders for local delivery and out of State shipping of established packaging standards.

Communication:

o Follow and maintain reporting and communication standards as determined by the Production Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

Safety:

1. Maintain a safe working environment

2. Follow safe working methods and processes

3. Ensure safety processes are being followed as they relate to all shipping methods

Maintain Quality Standards:

1. Ensure quality standards of each respective product line are being upheld

2. Ensure edge banding is accurate and is within quality standards

3. Ensure drilling and boring accurate and is within quality standards

4. Ensure all markings from production are removed (i.e. sharpie, pencil, etc.)

Order Accuracy:

1. 100% complete gathering of all product (including internal and external punch lists) to predesignated location.

a. Ensure all orders are 100% complete prior to packaging and shipping

i. Confirm parts list matches actual parts

1. Description.

2. Quantity.

ii. Confirm all doors are complete and ready for shipping.

Packaging:

1. Ensure all standard packing procedures are followed with no exceptions

a. Follow standard packing procedure.

b. Fill all voids within the pallet and OX BOX to prevent material movement in transit.

Communication:

1. The Paragon Door Technician will report directly to the Production Manager and shop Foreman.

a. Reporting errors

b. See it through, ensure open items are closed out.

c. Ensure all door orders are ready for shipping.

d. Ensure communication of order complete

e. Ensure communication of order ready for ship.

Skills:

Must have excellent attention to detail.

Must be very organized.

Must work well in a team environment.

Must be a strong communicator.

Experience:

Must have basic computer skill.

Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications and supporting documents.

Compensation:

Base Salary and Benefits:

The Paragon door Technician will be paid a rate of (D.O.E.) with the expectation of a 40-hour work week

Health Benefits:

The Paragon door Technician is eligible to participate in the company health benefits program. The Paragon door Technician is eligible for health benefits on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.

Vacation:

The success candidate will be eligible for 2 weeks of paid vacation after one full year of service. After five years, he/she will be eligible for 3 weeks of vacation. Please see the company manual for more specific details.

Holidays:

The success candidate will receive 6 paid holidays. These holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Reporting:

The Paragon door Technician will report directly to the Production Manager and Shop Foreman.
