We are a small private practice providing psychological services in the Gunbarrel area, and are looking for an addition to our upbeat and supportive team to work in a friendly and flexible office environment. We are growing, and in search of a reliable person to help with scheduling, billing, and office management. This position offers some flexibility in hours, a comfortable and friendly office environment, and the opportunity to grow skills and knowledge in medical billing, customer service, office management, and the practice of professional psychology. This is a part-time, hourly position with no benefits. We are currently looking for somebody for about 20 hours per week. Hourly pay $10 - $15/hour, DOE. We are willing to provide some training for the right person, who will work under the supervision of our current billing supervisor. This position is slated to start work in late July.
DUTIES
Great people skills for answering phones and scheduling patient appointments
Greeting patients with a welcoming demeanor
Responds to requests for support from clinicians in a prompt and supportive fashion
Maintains the office environment by keeping in clean and well stocked with needed supplies
Understands and proficiently uses office software, including EMR and Microsoft Office
Medical billing duties as assigned
Responds to concerns of the patient and provider's office
Stays informed of guidelines/regulations governing billing and collections practices
Understands and strictly adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Understands and maintains office routines
Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with medical billing and revenue cycles
