SUMMARY

Hi-tech engineering / manufacturing company is looking for an electronics / project engineer who is self-motivated, works well in collaborations as well as capable of managing their own project (consumer, commercial, industrial, government). Both digital and analog background preferred with experience using and writing firmware for a wide range of microcontrollers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product design including budgeting, electrical, firmware and software development, prototyping and release to manufacturing

• Manufacturing support through automated fixture design and troubleshooting

• PCB design and layout including component selection and validation with a specific eye towards design for manufacturability

• Provide highly skilled/technical support and input to the Company as a whole, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, project management, and material management

• Documentation development for product designs, calibration techniques, product repairs, prototypes and fixtures

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Broad experience with schematics, assembly drawings, bills of material and mechanical drawings.

2. Advanced PCB design skills (Altium preferred).

3. Able to work with highly static sensitive, fine pitched SMT parts.

4. Experience with electronic and mechanical test-fixtures.

5. Advanced understanding of electronic test equipment (i.e. DMM, Oscilloscope, etc.).

6. Knowledge of firmware and software development and design techniques for varying types of microcontrollers.

7. Proficient with Gmail and Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.

8. Willingness to work a flexible schedule if required.

9. Understanding of UL, CE, CSA, FCC as well as ISO industry standards and requirements a plus.
