The Body Bar is taking applications from seasoned Massage Therapists to work at either our wellness spa in Lafayette's Forest Park Village or our sister studio located on the Boulder Country Club in Gunbarrel. This is a W-2 position with paid PTO for full-time employees, continuing education and additional health & wellness benefits. Base pay for 1-hr massage: $42 - $50 + 100% tips + product & enhancement commissions.
The Body Bar attracts therapists who desire to work in a non-corporate, therapeutic environment, where therapists' skill sets and talents are not only highly valued but highlighted. Unlike most in the industry, our massage “menu” focuses on you the therapist rather than on the typical buffet of massage offerings, and you will not be limited to a single style of massage within any given session. Currently our team consists of 10 Massage Therapists, 3 acupuncturists and 3 estheticians.
We have been an ever-growing (appointment only/actual hands-on time) business that is known for its warm, friendly atmosphere where patients and clients are like family. Our therapists love what they do and the soulful environment they work in, and are encouraged to care for themselves with generous time built in between sessions to relax and rejuvenate.
Qualifications and skills:
CO State license in massage.
Enthusiasm and a professional, positive attitude towards work and others.
Dependable and reliable, with the capacity/desire to work independently.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Passionate about massage and healing.
Capable of 30-120 minute sessions for Swedish, sports, and trigger-point/deep tissue.
Prenatal/postnatal, reflexology, hot stone, stretching and scrubs/wraps are all major pluses!
Other modalities are greatly encouraged and may be promoted if not already offered within our list of services.
Responsibilities include:
Providing extraordinary customer service to each and every client - supporting our welcoming and nurturing atmosphere.
Sanitizing all surfaces practitioners & clients come in contact with after each & every visit.
Pre-booking clients.
Setting up and turning over rooms between clients.
Checking in/out clients when front desk isn't staffed.
Assisting with laundry.
Restocking session rooms.
Opening and closing studios.
Working off-site events.
