We are seeking a dedicated and experienced caretaker for a property located in a serene and picturesque setting. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about handyman work, outdoor work, gardening, and animal care. The property is 5 creekside acres that require meticulous care and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handyman Work: Perform routine maintenance tasks, minor construction, and minor repairs around the property to ensure all facilities are in excellent condition.
- Gardening: Manage the estate's garden, including planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting to maintain a vibrant and productive space.
- Landscaping: Contribute to the design and implementation of landscaping projects to enhance the estate's aesthetic and ecological value.
- Lawn Care: Regular mowing, edging, and fertilization to maintain a healthy and manicured lawn.
- Tree Work: Perform basic tree care, such as pruning, trimming, and monitoring tree health.
- Weeding: Diligent weeding to ensure the garden and landscaped areas are kept neat and free from invasive plants.
-Snow Removal: Clear driveways and patios from snow and salt with provided equipment.
- Animal Care: Tend to chickens and bees and other livestock, including feeding, housing maintenance, and ensuring their overall well-being. No bee experience requiredhappy to teach.
-Recycling Runs: Make runs to recycling center in Boulder
-Pool Maintenance: Check and maintain pool chemistry bi-weekly
-Other misc. duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in handyman work, gardening, and landscaping.
- Knowledgeable about basic construction or repair techniques, plant care, landscaping design, pool maintenance.
- Experience in caring for chickens and managing bee hives is desirable.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Must be physically capable of performing demanding outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
-Valid driver's license and and reliable transportation (preferable a truck).
Details:
- Location: The property is located near the Boulder Municipal Airport (10 min from downtown Boulder). Details will be provided to selected candidates.
- Hours: 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. Minimum of 10 hours per week are guaranteed.
- Compensation: $35-$55 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Start Date: Immediate opening available.
