Modern custom furniture business seeking apprentice!
Ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be curious ("Why do we do it that way?"), high energy (we're all hyper), self motivated (asking what to do next when a task is completed) and don't take themselves too seriously (we may sing a little in the shop).
Since this is an apprenticeship, you will start with the basics like sanding and doing more repetitive tasks like cutting the same part over and over again. That being said, over time you will also be exposed to the nuts and bolts of design and how to run a furniture business. Candidate must also be willing to learn how to weld and possibly be the primary welder in the shop over time.
Basic Requirements:
-Ability to lift 75 pounds
-Posses own transportation
-Basic experience using power tools
Schedule:
Currently seeking a part time candidate (approximately 20 hours) following something like a MWF 9-4 schedule with the possibility of growing into a full time position.
Pay:
$18-$25 per hour depending on experience
