Looking for a really talented tradesman to join Skillz Workz, a multi-disciplined handyman company in Boulder.
We fill the gap between basic handyman work and full contractor/remodeling work; a very large spectrum that needs someone who's skilled across several disciplines. In the last three months, added skylights, re-done three bathrooms, a lot of drywall/texture leak repairs, re-built railing on a deck, laid a floor, hung new doors, built a custom dog fence and custom shelving, repaired the siding on several homes from Flicker damage, painted a restaurant, and repaired numerous restaurant sinks, faucets and drains.
You must be able to handle the types of jobs listed above as well as our non-licensed plumbing jobs: replacing sump-pumps, toilets, flush/fill valves, faucets, sinks, etc. Cleaning and maintaining restaurant sinks, p-traps, faucets, water heaters, etc. And, you will be able to lead and complete bathroom remodels, including basic required plumbing, painting, texturing, and tiling showers.
The ideal candidate will be very professional, personable, speak clear english, and be able to full-fill our plumbing, carpentry and handyman needs. Client service is essential as we do quality work and thrive on referrals. I pay very well and expect employees to respect the job, company and customers.
You need to be knowledgeable, have nice transportation, preferably a pickup truck and most of your own tools. However, I do have a very complete line of Milwaukee/Dewalt tools that are shared between job sites as needed. I also purchase/rent any tool/lift needed to perform jobs safely and properly.
I'm planning on getting trucks, tools, and insurance for everyone down the line. Until then, you'll be 1099, possibly until the end of this year. You need to be honest, trustworthy and dependable. If you are, you will be rewarded. Right now, you'll have a minimum of 30hrs a week, but it'll ramp up to 40-45 real quick.
