Position available for research/writer for Artemis Gallery. Artemis Gallery sells ancient antiquities from cultures around the globe. A staff researcher/writer for Artemis Gallery is responsible for writing complete, accurate, and sales-worthy descriptions for artworks featured in auctions, on our website, and other avenues. When research is required, she/he must consult reliable sources, extract pertinent information, and cite sources when appropriate. Above all, accuracy is paramount. However, more is also desired. Since we are an e-commerce business, our clients cannot see, feel, interact with these works first hand. This means that our writers not only need to describe each work accurately and completely, but they also must appeal to readers’ senses and thereby bring these pieces to life. In short, it is critical that we make our descriptions intriguing and entertaining as well as informative.
Position would be 40 hours a week in our office in Louisville tech center. Benefits include flexible schedule, PTO, Simple IRA and health insurance program. Plus getting to work with world class ancient examples every day in a relaxed work environment.
