Cyber Security Professional Principal

Technical expertise for the Information Systems (IS) security requirements necessary for the protection of all classified information processed, stored, and/or transmitted using the IS. Interprets government requirements, approves/develops Body of Evidence (BoE) for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, and oversees the implementation of the program security plans, policies, and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with all company and government requirements. Responsibilities require leadership and project management experience, as well as expertise to ensure effective system-wide security analysis; standards and testing; risk assessment; awareness and education; and development of policies, standards, and guidelines.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and administer users' security briefings to ensure all users are aware of all requirements for the IS.
  • Provide functional and process expertise, guidance, and assistance to senior management, program managers, system users, and custodians relative to IS security matters.
  • Schedule, conduct, and administer security tests and evaluations programs to ensure that all the applicable IS are operating in accordance with security requirements.
  • Maintain a configuration management system to track and control all components of IS used in support of classified programs.
  • Deliver and maintain process and technical workflows that assists with team/organizational development.
  • Review/Approve the body of evidence for company systems that includes Systems Security. Plan(s), Plans of Actions and Milestones (PoA&M) Security Assessment Plans and Continuous Monitoring Plans.
  • Lead system control risk assessments, identify corrective mitigation options, document results, and engage and brief company stakeholders.
  • Identify, evaluate, and document all IS and other equipment to ensure compliance with red/black engineering and Emanations Security requirements.
  • Perform audits of all IS, investigation anomalies, and record and report findings, as required.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct detailed inquiries; assess potential damage; and develop, document, implement, and monitor corrective action plans. Lead data spill containment and clean up per customer direction.
  • Lead self-inspections as required by government regulations and participate in customer audits and inspections.
  • Research software and hardware to be used on classified systems and coordinate the use as required by customer regulations.
  • Responsible for overseeing the implementation of Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) for assigned systems/networks.
  • Apply strong program management expertise to ensure cyber security gaps are supervised across all SBU/SCUs teams and influence risk/control owners and operators to mitigate risk
  • Collaborate closely with the organization to remove blockers that prevent the timely remediation of risk.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on regulatory changes that would impact the organization and our customers then recommend policy and process changes accordingly.
  • Analyze, interpret, and verify IS disaster recovery/contingency plans to assure the rapid recovery of IS in the event of an emergency or disaster.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.


What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 14 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.


Full-Time On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site full-time. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $124,500 - $172,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
