Description Robert Half is looking for a skilled project detail oriented to fill a Payroll Manager position in the Apparel Manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for all aspects of payroll operations (vendors, systems, processes and integration) in this contract Payroll Manager role. For this role, you should be able to streamline processes, produce timely, precise, and compliant payrolls, and offer high-quality customer service. Present accurate and detailed information and respond to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders
Handle payroll staff as well as operations
Join forces with fellow members of senior Finance leadership team
Start a team and work to make it successful
Track financial trends by executing payroll analysis
Handle pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies
Work to make current processes better by recommending, leading, and working on various projects
Take responsibility for internal and external audits
Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
Provide internal safeguards by taking the lead on record keeping and control systems
In charge of weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Shed light on pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensure amounts/deductions are properly applied to the earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws Requirements - Less than one year of experience is acceptable
To succeed at this position, you should have strong interpersonal skills
Adeptness in 401k - RRSP Administration
Practical knowledge of Benefit Functions
General familiarity with Accounting Functions
Great Plains (GPAC) experience preferred
ADP Financial Services experience
Compliance experience highly preferred
Ceridian experience
Proficiency in data processing
Kronos Timekeeping System experience highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of About Time
Proficiency in a wide array of payroll applications
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification suggested
