We strive to be a company of thinkers, doers, dreamers, and makers – let’s do this together! Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking an R&D Manager for our Broomfield, CO location. In this role, you will lead a team of scientists and engineers to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of ACST customers. The successful candidate (you) will KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnering with scientists, engineers and a larger research team to architect, design, build, and test custom subsystems for use in research and commercial environments
Managing a group of scientists and engineers, to include writing and delivering performance appraisals
Setting and evaluating goals and ensuring team success in meeting near-term project milestones
Providing expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs
Serving as a mentor to more junior engineers
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
5+ years of experience managing and mentoring other engineers
U.S Citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
WE VALUE
Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
Experience developing project and resource plans
Black Belt, Lean Expert, or PMP certified
Interest in working in a rapid prototyping environment
Experience with mechanical inspection and working with suppliers on complex mechanical procurements and subcontracts
