Program Manager


We are seeking a CONTRACT Senior Program Manager-IT Infrastructure to join our growing team.


How will you make a difference?

  • Lead day to day IT Infrastructure and cloud migration projects, including facilitation of solution requirements and architecture strategy, migration strategy, application suitability/readiness assessment, migration planning, and execution coordination
  • Proactively develops detailed project plans in collaboration with key stakeholders within the transaction team, business unit and/or target organization
  • Leverages experience, perspective, and key lessons learned from other projects to ensure future project success
  • Identifies key stakeholders, understand their expectations, and execute effective communication plans
  • Independently leads medium to large projects with minimal supervision
  • Supports the Program Management Office in all program governance activities and AS9100 compliance
  • Proactively manages all aspects of a project/program through the project life cycle project planning, monitoring and controlling through execution, and project closure
  • Implements project management best practices to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the overall project objectives
  • Proactively develops and communicates risk mitigation and contingency plans for key program risks with project stakeholders
  • Facilitates collaborative negotiations with project participants and stakeholders to drive alignment on addressing significant issues before they impact the project
  • Confidently leads and facilitates project meetings - completion of pre/post meeting activities including ensuring appropriate invitation list, meeting minutes, action item logging, and update program documentation as required
  • Prepares accurate presentations and presents strategic project status updates tailored for various levels throughout the organization, including Executive Leadership team
  • Coaches project managers and other junior resources
  • Responsible to oversee and correct deliverables from project managers and junior team members
  • Ensures electronic project documentation repository is up to date for all project documentation, business/technology documents related to the initiatives/projects/programs; tracks and sets up deliverable process (sign-off, documentation)
  • Facilitates process to gather input and finalizes the program's project close document, including lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement to the integration/separation life cycle
  • Compiles inputs from multiple areas/teams and consolidates into summarized strategic materials for leadership
  • Develops initial project budget and ensures proper mechanism for gathering key inputs from all key stakeholders
  • Establishes process to establish, track and communicate key project KPIs

  • 7+ years Project Management experience / PMO experience
  • 3 years' experience in on-premises and cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security projects

Required Skills, Talents & Experiences
  • IT transformation project experience (assessments, migrations, consolidations, virtualization projects, etc.)
  • Foundational understanding of public cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership
  • Ability to establish credibility and trust with key stakeholders and project teams to effectively lead through influence
  • Superior discernment skills; know which competing task takes priority at a given time
  • Practical problem solving and critical thinking skills with excellent judgment and attention to detail
  • Superb collaboration and communication skills with all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Must possess managerial courage; demonstrate confidence with a data-driven approach to managing risks and making decisions that will impact project execution and organizational objectives
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness to explore creative solutions to eliminate potential program roadblocks

Preferred Skills, Talents & Experiences
  • Experience in the wireless communications, data communications and/or aviation industry
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or equivalent PM experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Project Server
  • Experience implementing projects using Agile and SAFe methodologies

Pay Rate: $54/hr-$69/hr
