Position SummaryThe primary responsibility is to supervise, coordinate, and perform the requirements of the environmental services program, includes housekeeping and laundry, to ensure the community is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition. Suggests work related improvements to enhance department standards, and assists with budget development and compliance as well as regulatory compliance.Essential DutiesInvestigates complaints regarding housekeeping/laundry service and equipment and takes corrective action.Obtains a list of prospective new resident move-ins and discharges to prepare work assignments.Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.Develops and assigns work schedules for personnel in the environmental services department. Inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.Screens job applicants, hires new employees, and recommends promotions, transfers, and dismissals.Reviews and evaluates the work performance of assigned personnel as well as coaches/disciplines assigned personnel according to established company personnel policies.Inventories and orders supplies and equipment necessary for the day-to-day operation.Reviews and approves electronic time cards to ensure personnel are in compliance with established attendance standards and payroll is completed timely & accurately.Other duties as assigned.
