(Engineering Specialist- Modeling & Simulation Engineering) to provide
technical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation,
and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems. MS&A
focus areas may include agent-based modeling, opposing force conflict
simulations, military utility analysis, capability attrition, military
target tracking effectiveness, command, and control (C2) evaluation,
and killchain analysis. In this position, you will contribute to projects
leveraging the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and
Modeling (AFWork Model:
This full-time position requires 100% onsite work in El Segundo, CA,
Chantilly, VA, or Colorado Springs, CO.What You'll Be Doing
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members to execute modeling,
simulation, and analysis projects using AFSIM and other engineering tools.
Interact with Aerospace program office and government customers to understand
analysis tasks and provide results.
Use and contribute to development of in-house and commercial- and
government-off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools with a focus on AFSIM.
Develop and deliver timely and technically accurate presentations and reports.What You Need to be Successful- Engineering Specialist, Modeling &
Simulation Engineering
Bachelor's degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.
8 years' of progressively more responsible engineering experience.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to complete technical analyses as
part of larger project efforts.
Demonstrated expertise in using the Advanced Framework for Simulation,
Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)
Knowledge in one or more of these specific national security space or
intelligence mission areas: killchains, space-based surveillance,
spacecraft ground systems, multi-phenomenology remote sensing techniques,
and architecture resiliency
Ability to work on dynamic task assignments and adapt to changing customer
expectations.
Proficiency in astrodynamics or space operations.
Experience with one or more software languages that may include Python,
C, or MATLAB.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security
clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is
