OverviewThis position exists to operate automated machinery for manufacturing.
Pay starts at $17.40 per hour depending upon experience, but candidates
should expect to start at the begining of the pay range.
Operating as an independent division of the Bloomfield, CT-based Kaman

Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established
procedures and guidelines
Uses computer-controlled, and/or manually-controlled equipment to
select, position, and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines
Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately,
according to specifications, and in a timely fashion
Works under the close direction of tenured personnel in the functional area
Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job
Observes while the machine is being repaired by a Technician
Observes and follows all safety protocols
Learns the use of precision measuring tools
Perform daily housekeeping operations in the work area to maintain a safe
workplace
Perform other related duties as assignedQualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
1 year of automation operation experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to promote and work in a highly collaborative environment
