Responsible for quality review of care process from physician order, registration, chart documentation, charging, and billing to reimbursement. Has collaborative relationship with revenue integrity advisors for root cause analysis and education of departments.Day to Day;
Responsible for working the Charge audit queues for Penrose OR and GI Lab
Verify complete charges are entered and supplies/equipment captured
Assist with monthly tissue audits
Provide backup to surgery scheduler as needed
Must have an understanding of OR operations, types of cases being done.Solid clinical understanding of all clinical aspects of the OR requiredMust be an RN with OR experience16 OR SuitesApprox. 250-350+ cases per monthSchedule: 40hrs/week Days-0630-1500Qualifications:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
High School diploma or GED required,
Associates Degree required; Bachelors Degree or BSN preferred.
5 years direct patient care in a hospital setting.
RN experience highly preferred; although technical skills and medical experience may substitute.
Colorado RN license, preferred

We are unique in the community because have a designated trauma room that is at the ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The trauma room (T-10) allows for the facility to triage any patient meeting specific criteria in an operating room, bypassing the ED, and has a designated response team of approximately eight different units with unique roles during a trauma team activation allowing prompt immediate surgical intervention within minutes of arrival by our partners in EMS and Flight for Life.The surgical unit itself has 17 rooms including the trauma room, a hybrid room, designated cardiac OR and a Cystoscopy room. We have two DaVinci Xi Robotic systems allowing us to provide robotically assisted procedures in general, urology, gynecology and thoracic specialties. Currently there are 17 different specialties provided here at SAH including trauma, neuro, ortho, general, cardiac, vascular, ENT, plastics, urology, GYN, thoracic, and more. Our caseload for 2019 was 5,859 procedures in this unit alone.
