Electronics Technician

Viking Enterprise Solutions(VES), a division of Sanmina Corporation,

is responsible for the design of high performance storage and server systems

for the OEM/JDM marketplace. Due to our continued success and growth, VES

has an opportunity for an Electronics Technician. This is an opportunity to

Electronics Technician

Job Purpose:

This Electronic Technician role is part of the VES Engineering team and is

responsible for performing testing and rework/repair of data storage /

server products. This includes diagnosing early board and systems during the

engineering(pre-production) phases of our development lifecycle. This

role will provide/perform bring-up of new products, providing findings to

the Engineering teams onsite in our Colorado Springs design center.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:Assist in bring-up of new circuit board designs.Troubleshoot, debug and repair non-functional boards and provide feedback to

appropriate functional areas.Support lab testing using various vendor supplied tools.Provide input on product design to support testing, manufacturing,

assembly, etc.Evaluate component changes at component, subsystem and system level.Support overall laboratory operation including organization, ESD training

and calibration activities.Actively work with engineering teams to improve test planning/ processes and

product performance, quality and reliability.Update and release changes in our AGILE Product Lifecycle system.Support limited facility activities as requiredTravel may be required in this role.Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience:Associates degree in a relevant computer science and/or engineering

technology discipline.5+ years experience working on server or data storage based products in a

hands-on test and troubleshooting role using oscilloscopes, DMMs, device

readers/programming adapters, etcWorking knowledge of server and storage products(SAS/SATA and NVMe).Interpret mechanical drawings(2D and 3D) and electrical

schematics/layouts(Cadence) to support laboratory activities.Basic Linux OS and scripting experience.Knowledge of network cabling, routing and set up.Experience with Intel and AMD server motherboards is desirable.Experience with Vbasic, LabView, and Linux is desirable.Scripting experience with Perl, Python, Bash is desirable.

The MILSATCOM (MSC) technician is responsible for performing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the Military Satellite Communications functional areas, including Tech Control Facility (TCF), Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM), and Consolidated Communications HEMP Room (C2HR). The MSC technician will be responsible for the O&M of the equipment systems that comprise the Defense Communications Satellite Subsystem (DCSS), AN/GSC-52 B Modernized Earth Terminal (MET), AN/FRC-191 Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Site Terminal (FAB-T), and the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN).
