DescriptionLeidos/Spire is seeking a talented Program Security Officer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos/Spire provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.Primary Responsibilities-The selected candidate will interface with all levels of management to support the administration of a classified contract to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides.-Additional duties for the selected candidate will include back-up support for processing all aspects of the personnel security functions (e.g., processing new employees for security clearances, processing individuals for necessary badges, and processing incoming / outgoing visit requests, request for access actions, and other duties as assigned).-Maintain Security Information Management System (SIMS) data base.-Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to the preparation of management reports and maintain the personnel clearance database(s). The selected candidate must be comfortable working in a high pace/dynamic environment.-High standards of professionalism are essential, as well as the ability to operate under minimal supervision.-The candidate will be required to conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.·The candidate must possess the confidence to make critical security decisions concerning high value contract and to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information.·Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.Basic Qualifications-Bachelor's Degree and 2 - 4 years experience.
