If so, we need you to help to build, develop and manage mission engineers. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying NSS resource needs (people, tools, areas, support services) and working with stakeholders to address these needs.You will be responsible for:

Managing technical personnel assigned to a department with a size of approximately 18 team members.

Ensuring qualified and experienced personnel (and supporting design and analysis tools and other resources) are assigned to meet the staffing needs of programs.

Tracking and executing peer reviews for major program events.

Staff management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching/mentoring, career development, performance management, compensation management, and separation of assigned employees.

Assuring program execution of selected programs, on all performance criteria (technical and cost/schedule of SE scope). This will be achieved through leadership and guidance of multiple program teams through the program life cycle, and direct impact on a program.

Serve as a technical check and balance of all SE activities including new business capture planning and proposal concepts development and staffing.

In addition to the functional management role, you will be a working technical contributor on one or more programs - the split between direct and indirect is approximately 80%/20%.As a program technical contributor, the candidate will support the development, deployment and sustainment of a physics-based modeling and simulation environment enabling advanced satellite operations training. This includes: developing space system architecture models using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies; deriving, allocating and maintaining system requirements and specifications; research into modeling & simulation systems and approaches for future system-of-system integration; developing high-level CONOPS for system use cases and integration efforts; developing, updating and maintaining design documentation. This position will be responsible for working closely with orbital dynamics and guidance, navigation and control subject matter experts and will span the entire system lifecycle: concept, design, development, test, operations and sustainment.Basic Qualifications:

Associates Degree in a Technical Field with 8 years experience or equivalent experience with Bachelors or Masters Degree in a Technical Field

Must have U.S. Citizenship with active or current TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship with active or current TS/SCI Clearance

Experience in RPO mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling & simulation and/or wargaming

Experience in Cameo EA, including logical, physical and functional architectures

Experience in Python

#COSpaceSalary Range: $138,100 - $207,100The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
