What you’ll be doing Verizon is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate. Our network transformation will be critical for all our future connectivity businesses including new products such as IoT, 5G, and future smart cities. As part of this network transformation, you will help build one network engineered for growth for all lines of business.You will manage aspects of the fiber build in the Desert, Mountain, and Plains region as it pertains to 5G on-air sites, critical backhaul for 5G and our next generation core transport network. Tasks will include analyzing critical build schedule, reporting on status of deliverables, tracking of major milestones and interacting with cross-functional teams. You will also be responsible for collaborating with team members and stakeholders to recommend enhancements to increase productivity and efficiency. Experience in Project Management is required - Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) desired. Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management, as well as ability to negotiate and motivate others. Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills, self-motivation, leadership, and team orientation and has a high degree of analytic, technical, and organizational skills.
Drive complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.
Identify, monitor, report and escalate project-related issues to achieve timely resolution.
Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestone completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions.
Maintain communication with Functional Team Members and Direct Management to ensure early identification of issues and timely reporting of status.

Bachelor’s degree or four of more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in project management driving cross-functional teams.
Experience in leading multiple complex projects to successful completion.
Organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor’s degree.
Six or more years project management driving cross-functional teams.
Experience managing network projects.
PMP certification.
Interpersonal and team building capabilities.
Project planning and time management skills.
Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to influence organizational direction and initiatives across all leadership levels.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office, including Power Point and Excel.
Knowledge of Telecommunications technologies, networks and business processes.
Willingness to travel.
