Payroll and AP Accountant

Description We are currently seeking a Payroll and Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temp-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's payroll and accounts receivable operations using Paycom and Acumatica software. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, managing account receivables, preparing reports, and supporting the wider finance team.This is a temporary role with potential for permanent employment based on business needs and individual performance. Process and manage the payroll using Paycom system.

Maintain accounts receivable records and conduct daily postings through Acumatica.

Ensure compliance with governmental financial regulations.

Balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls.

Monitor incoming payments and verify and post receipts using Acumatica.

Follow up on due invoices by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.

Assist in creating monthly financial reports.

Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies within the Paycom system.

Handle sensitive financial data with utmost confidentiality.

Provide support for auditing processes and compliance-related activities.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.

Proven experience using Paycom and Acumatica software.

Familiarity with general accounting principles.

Exceptional numerical accuracy and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Knowledge on relevant payroll and accounts receivable legislations and regulations.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation a plus.
