This position works closely with frontline major gift fundraisers and Chief Philanthropy Officers, Mountain Region Leadership, and the National Philanthropy Engagement Communications team to develop and implement a robust communications, annual giving and stewardship program using a performance marketing model.Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Up to 75% remote and minimum of 25% on site; visits to each local foundation office at least once per quarter.
Drives content strategy, including copywriting for web, email, social and print.
Updates foundation web sites, builds and deploys email messages in Blackbaud Internet Solutions, and manages social media accounts.
Supports external communications needs of the Regional Vice President of Philanthropy and the Chief Philanthropy Officers.
Leads Mountain Region annual employee giving campaign and supports Denver National Office Mission Group with fundraising initiatives.
Leads participation in annual Colorado Gives Day.
Collaborates closely with the National Engagement Communications team and external vendors to lead local implementation of system engagement efforts, including but not limited to: Appeal Campaigns, Toolkits, HYC Grateful Patient Acquisition, and the Annual Impact Report.
Represent the Mountain Region on the Annual Giving Sounding Board.
Stays current on local hospital and system-wide activities, events, and achievements. Builds strong relationships with local foundation and hospital staff to surface and drive content for robust communications plan.
Produces executive level reports for System Director, Regional VP, Senior Leadership Team and Boards of Directors to assess Engagement program efficacy.
Participates in continuing education to enhance and increase fundraising skills, maintains awareness of changes in philanthropy patterns.
Adheres to ethical standards and best practices established by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; however, equivalent years of education and experience may be considered. Minimum 2 years of related work experience required.
Excellent copywriting and internal communications skills.
Deadline-oriented and goal-motivated.
Strong project management and planning skills with demonstrated attention to detail while managing multiple projects concurrently.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Prior experience or ability to master various engagement tools including email marketing (BBIS), video (Thankview), web (BBIS/Ovrture), project management (monday), and more.
Ability to adhere to and ensure brand compliance
Experience with print, email and web design, HTML, performance marketing analytics is not required but highly preferred.
