Reporting to the VP of Global Communications, the Sr. Digital Marketing Director (Sr. DMD) serves as an integral member of the Global Communications Team, leading the organization's digital marketing strategy, content strategy, and funnel optimization efforts. The Sr. Digital Marketing Director oversees digital  marketing  and  content  initiatives and is responsible for architecting, directing, and continuously optimizing donor acquisition and engagement funnels from awareness through conversion and retention in partnership with, and at the direction of, the VP of Global Communications.The Sr. DMD will possess a unique blend of strategic funnel expertise, advanced technical skills, and collaborative leadership abilities. Challenged to lead a team to drive measurable growth through sophisticated digital strategies, manage complex funnel optimization projects, and partner effectively with Global Communications team members, a successful Digital Marketing Director understands how to translate organizational objectives into high-performing digital experiences that drive sustainable growth and engagement.  The  role requires  expertise  in  email management  systems, prospecting methodologies, SEO optimization, paid advertising, and cross-functional collaboration with designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals.Funnel Strategy & Optimization Leadership Design and optimize organizational marketing funnels from initial awareness through conversion and long-term engagement Design and implement sophisticated email management systems, including drip campaigns, behavioral triggers, lead nurturing sequences, and lifecycle marketing Develop and execute advanced prospecting strategies utilizing multiple touchpoints, lead scoring, and progressive profiling Create and optimize landing pages, lead magnets, and conversion paths to maximize funnel performance at each stage Implement comprehensive funnel analytics, A/B testing protocols, and conversion rate optimization strategies Direct Global Communications team efforts in SEO strategy, including keyword research, content optimization, technical SEO, and link building to drive organic funnel traffic Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Facebook, Linkedln, and other platforms with a focus on funnel efficiency and cost per acquisition Develop retargeting and remarketing strategies to re-engage prospects at various funnel stages Create advanced segmentation strategies for personalized funnel experiences based on behavior, demographics, and engagement levelsDigital Platform Management & Website Excellence Collaborate with the VP of Global Communications to monitor organizational website performance, focusing on optimizing for search, user experience, and conversion funnel efficiency Collaborate with the Creative Director and other team members to implement website design, email design, and digital platform experiences that support funnel objectives Maintain and develop effective use of key platforms (WordPress, Virtuous, etc.) to support advanced funnel strategiesEmail Management & Lead Generation Excellence Design and execute sophisticated email marketing funnels, including welcome series, nurture campaigns, re-engagement sequences, and conversion campaigns Implement advanced CRM email automation workflows based on user behavior, engagement levels, and funnel position Develop comprehensive prospecting systems, including lead magnets, progressive profiling, and multi-channel outreach strategies Manage email deliverability, list hygiene, and compliance with data privacy regulationsCreative Collaboration & Content Strategy Partner with team members to develop a content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, integrating funnel strategy with compelling creative execution Collaborate with designers, copywriters, content creators, and other creative professionals to execute integrated campaigns optimized for conversion Work with Global Communications Team members to align digital strategies with broaderorganizational messaging and brand guidelines Ensure all digital creative outputs are optimized for conversion and aligned with the overall digital marketing strategyAnalytics & Performance Management Report on comprehensive funnel metrics, including conversion rates at each stage, cost per acquisition, lifetime value, email deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and revenue attribution Conduct ongoing A/B testing of funnel components, including emails, landing pages, ad creative, and calls-to-action Create comprehensive funnel reporting dashboards for leadership visibility into performance metrics Present performance results and strategic recommendations to VP of Global Communications
