JOB DESCRIPTION:

The qualified applicant will support the Space Warfighting Analysis Center's (SWAC) Multi-Domain Sensing Program (MDSP) in Colorado Springs, CO. The applicant will primarily be the focal point for integrating and clearly communicating the status and results of work conducted by multiple MWTD Force Design Working Groups to various stakeholders and senior leaders across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. The applicant will also work closely with the SWAC's Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) with responding to urgent Higher Headquarters (HHQ) taskings, crafting strategic messaging, and working special projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as a core member of the MWTD Integration Working Group and participate in other working groups as needed
  • Document MWTD Force Design results and recommendations in an annual Capability Area Design Document to include:
    • Concept and joint narrative
    • Key driving requirements, assumptions, limitations, and dependencies
    • Analytic framework and results
    • Design options
    • Capability-area-level performance parameters
    • Partnership opportunities and dependencies
    • Technology readiness and science & technology needs
    • Policy recommendations
  • Document MWTD Strategy, operational impacts, and force design results and recommendations in an annual Operational Imperatives Report
  • Create, modify, and maintain presentations clearly describing MWTD force design plans, status, results, and recommendations for SWAC, USSF, and DoD senior leaders and the wider community
  • Coordinate SWAC strategic guidance and messaging
  • Craft responses to senior leader and HHQ inquiries
  • Produce technical reports on a variety of analytic efforts
  • Draft, review, and refine administrative products (memos, position papers, issue papers, operating procedures, award packages, etc.)

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a min (9) nine years of experience with a min. of 5 years technical writing experience
  • STEM Bachelor's degree
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI and Special Access eligibility (mandatory)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to understanding complex technical issues and produce recommendations for a wide audience
  • Ability to quickly create decision-quality materials for senior leaders
  • Ability to apply critical thinking in complex and dynamic organizational environments
  • Technical understanding and experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) space systems (highly desired)
  • Experience with space design, architecture, and/or system development (desired)

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
