Title: Software Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: 7+ Months
Looking for a software engineer/developer with experience programming in cloud computing, containerized, real-time, streaming environment to innovate leading edge products/solutions.
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
Thorough understanding of agile and general understanding of waterfall project management principles.
Experience with near real time streaming analytics (Complex Event Processing)
Experience with task tracking systems (e.g. JIRA, MS project, Confluence, etc.) and other collaboration tools (WIKI, IRC, Bugzilla, etc.) to design and document solutions.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development of complex backend systems on Linux environment. (API/microservice experience is nice to have)
Minimum of 2 years of object-oriented development experience (C, Objective C or Java)
Minimum of 2 years experience using the following:
o Scripting such as Python, perl, etc.
o database technologies, both SQL and noSQL such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, mongoDB
o Using Version Control tools such as CVS and git/github

JOB DUTIES:
Responsibilities will include all aspects of software development from clarifying requirements to design, coding and testing:
Participate in the design and development of new systems to be incorporated into the existing business environment.
Design, develop, test (using test automation), and integrate software in an agile, test driven development environment.
Using collaboration tools (WIKI, IRC channels, Bugzilla) to design and document solutions.
Personal characteristics
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Recent and Proven technical experience and software development skills.
Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Collaborative, creative, and detail oriented approach to problem solving in complex situations
Ability to work individually with minimal direction, including the ability to work remotely
Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools
LOGISTICS:
Shift: standard 9-5, working from home until we know post covid-19 plan
