Job description
Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities:
Ensuring the barn, treatment areas, stalls are clean and organized
You will be assisting the veterinarian by restraining horses and ensuring the safety of the veterinarian an or client.
Sterilizing equipment
Assisting with TPR's, administering medication, drawing blood
Performing diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests
Communicating with veterinarians and other veterinary technicians to ensure continuity of patient care
Complying with hospital standards, rules, regulations, and policies
Maintaining medical records
Preparing and submitting lab samples
Veterinary Assistant Requirements:
Equine experience required
Excellent communication skills
Physically strong and dexterous, and ability to stand for extended periods
Available to work occasional evenings and weekends while on call.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
