Work schedule is project driven, weather permitting with weekend and some night work required on occasion - so the ideal candidate will enjoy a flexible schedule, with 40+ hour weeks during peak periods. Our newly formed Colorado Springs location is seeking dedicated, self-motivated individuals to fill the role of Pavement Maintenance Technician and Chief/Operations Manager. Our rapidly growing team is in need of technicians and leaders to help successfully launch and support our growing network of clients. As a member of our team, you will be asked to perform duties including the operation of machinery and oversight of a variety of projects spread out across Colorado Springs, Pueblo and the Western Slope/I-70 corridor (with a primary focus on Colorado Springs/Pueblo). This franchisee is backed by a family office that has been investing in Colorado Springs since 2020 and the Pavement Maintenance Technician role will have the ability to grow within the various businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project while maintaining a safe, hazard-free job site
Use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack filling , sealcoating and infrared repair
Clean and maintain tools, equipment and work areas
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
Work directly with ownership to grow business and operational excellence
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Experience with outdoor labor industries (asphalt, landscaping, construction etc.)
Experience driving, parking, and hooking up trailers
Mechanical knowledge of machines including experience with small engines preferred, but not required
Ability to follow a system of performance to detail
Understand the importance of punctuality, organization and attention to detail
Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 100lbs)
Ability to work well independently unsupervised
Must have driver’s license along with clean driving record and background check.
Candidates will be required to provide multiple references, both personal and professional.
Crew Chiefs: Proven experience as a Crew Chief or similar senior role within the asphalt, construction or maintenance industry; Ability to lead, educate and support team members.
