Production Artist needed at Bravo Screen Printing (Fillmore and Nevada)

Vacancy expired!

Experienced PRODUCTION ARTIST needed at Bravo Screen Printing in Colorado Springs, CO.

Please note: This is a full time, in-house position. Sorry, but no freelance, part time or work-from home.

Hours: Full time, Monday through Friday, 8-5

We are a midsized screen print and embroidery shop. We have two automatics and two manual presses as well as 7 heads of embroidery. We do about 60% wholesale/contract printing and the other 40% is made up of schools, businesses, teams, etc.

Applicants MUST have experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, spot color separations and a working knowledge of screen printing. Must be willing to work hard, have a commitment to quality, and be efficient. Applicant should be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds and must have reliable transportation.

We are looking for a well organized individual, who pays close attention to detail, one who is energetic and likes a challenge. Must be flexible and be able to adapt to sudden changes in the schedule with the greatest of ease as well as a great attitude.

The emphasis here is on *Production* artist. This position is responsible for 95% of all of the screen print art, so if it takes you 6 hours to create a logo for the landscape company down the street who only wants 12 shirts, this isn't going to be a good fit. We print an average of 8-10 jobs a day, so that means you have to have that much art created, approved and output by the day before. On wholesale/contract jobs, that might be as simple as outputting the seps from the .eps file that they sent in -- or it might mean converting 30 sponsor logos to black and white and arranging them for the back of a race shirt -- or creating a design from scratch and working with the customer to make changes, get approvals and then separate.

Daily duties include:

- meet with customers for new art work

- create art (generally in Illustrator) and email proofs for new orders

- pull existing art files and review for changes for reorders

- prepare separations for approved art work

- output separations with RIP software and upload seps to the server

- work with production staff to coordinate printing and troubleshoot

- create logos for digitizing

Occasional duties:

- help office staff answer phones and greet customers

- very occasionally (maybe 1-2 times a year) help in the back shop at the end of the dryer or pulling off the press

- other tasks as needed

Wages depending on experience.

Position available immediately.

If you feel you're a good match, please email a resume, portfolio and wage requirements.

Thanks!

NO RECRUITERS, TEMP-AGENCIES, OR OTHER PLACEMENT COMPANIES, PLEASE.
