Job purposeÂ
Pikes Peak Security, LLC is Colorado's premier armed protective security service provider. We set the standard in the security industry because we only hire protective officers that were prior Military Combat Veterans, prior Law Enforcement Officers with special tactics training, or prior Armed Protection Specialists with at least 3 years of experience. Therefore, our clients don't have to worry about having an officer protecting their property or event that doesn't have the proper mindset, skills, or training to deal with a threat against their business. Our Officers are polite but firm, tactful in conversation, and are trained and licensed for armed protection.ÂÂ
Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
-Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting or denying entry.Â
-Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.Â
-Possess high level of situational awareness and be able to remain calm in high stress situations.Â
-Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.Â
-Ability to effectively and maturely communicate with clients as well as co-workers and management.Â
-Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area.Â
Qualifications and EducationÂ
-Experience necessary to start in the position- Must be a Military Combat Veterans (DD-214 VERIFIED), prior (Law Enforcement Officers - LEO's) with special tactics training (will be VERIFIED with the officer's Last Command), or Armed Protection Specialist with at least 3 years of verifiable experience.Â
-Education- High School Diploma or GED.Â
-Skills-Decision Making, Work under Pressure, Lifting, Excellent Judgment, Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control and Integrity and Maturity.Â

Working conditionsÂ
-Must have a flexible schedule and work any shift given.Â
-Must be able to pass background check and drug test.Â
-Must have a clean driving record.Â
-Must be able to obtain a Colorado Springs Guard Card.Â
-Must be able to obtain a Conceal Carry Permit.Â
-Must be able to stand up to 12 hours at a time.Â
-Must be willing and able, if necessary, to use physical or deadly force.Â
-Must be able to pass quarterly (every 3 months) weapon qualifications.Â
-Must be able to attend 40 hours of yearly required certification training.Â
Physical requirementsÂ
-Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time in duty gear.Â
-Must be willing to use physical force if necessary.Â
-The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the premises, indoors and out, and may also need to traverse around various obstacles.Â
-Occasionally ascends/descends stairs to reach various locations.Â
-Constantly operates a computer, radio, firearms, handcuffs and vehicles.Â
-Occasionally carry, lift or transport duty equipment and or person ranging from weight of 25 pounds to 180 pounds at any given moment .
