We are a high-end custom finishing company, located in Peyton, CO, specializing in aircraft cabinetry, instrument repair and finishing, and other fine finishing. Job duties for this position would include work in each of these areas, plus general shop duties as assigned.
Project work duties may include:
Carefully disassembling, inventorying, labeling and evaluation. This may include photographing damages and a detailed written report.
Unpacking, labeling, and prepping parts for shop work
Skilled finishing duties as needed
Re-assembly, fit and finish, quality check prior to delivery.
General shop duties:
General woodworking and wood finishing duties include:
Cleaning and prepping materials for finishing, including stripping prior finishes, sanding and filling to prep for finish
Applying all manner of fillers, resins, epoxy, and related products to prepare materials for finishing
Applying all manner of finishing products such as lacquer, UV-cured finish, etc. as required to obtain the desired finish
General shop duties include care and maintenance of shop tools, regular shop organization and cleaning, etc.
Requirements:
Specific experience doing this type of work is required for this position. (Please be sure to include highlights of any similar work that you have photographs of in a cover letter, note, or link when you apply). The key requirements for this position are:
A minimum of 3-5 years in the finishing industry
Auto body and/or paint experience is applicable
Experience leading a team is desired
Strong experience in woodworking / wood finishing common challenges and an aptitude for problem solving
Strong attention to detail
Careful, clean, considerate work habits and demeanor
Good communication skills
Positive, can-do attitude, and team player
Ability to lead a project of this type from start to finish
Physical ability to perform all the duties listed in this position on a daily basis, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
