We are a local, family owned and operated wood recycling and landscape supply store with an opening for a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Shop Foreman position. It will be full-time and 5-6 days per week. Must have knowledge of and experience with heavy equipment and OTR truck fleet (engines, drivetrain, hydraulics, electrical, etc.); be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix heavy equipment issues; and be able to weld and fabricate.
This position will consist of:
Preventative maintenance and servicing of heavy equipment and truck fleet
small to large repair issues
troubleshooting/rebuilding engines
hydraulic pump/valves/plumbing/hoses etc issues
welding and fabricating
creative problem solving
a willingness to continually learn
working outside and inside
heavy lifting
good communication with coworkers and vendors
detailed and thorough record keeping
being willing to assist wherever is needed
Must have at least 5 years welding experience
Must have at least 5 years heavy equipment diesel mechanic experience
Must be able to lift 50 pounds (with no restrictions)
Must be able to work outside in any conditions—cold, hot, dusty, windy, etc.
Due to the nature of our wood recycling business, there is no smoking on the premises
Must have Class B CDL or Class A CDL
