PS Audio designs and manufactures high-end audio products in Boulder and is seeking a Controller to provide both strategic and tactical leadership and management for finance and accounting. This includes creating of reports for monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, and weekly KPIs. In addition, the Controller will provide senior and other management team members with guidance on daily finance and accounting matters as they arise and will directly manage a 2-member accounting team.
Duties:
- Manage and direct the accounting function to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, including account analysis and forecast preparation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including corporate accounting and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve accounting processes and minimize financial risks.
- Manage and maintain a strong internal control environment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address potential financial risks and opportunities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff to ensure they meet their responsibilities and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on corporate accounting and regulatory reporting.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, including account analysis and forecast preparation.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including general ledger reconciliation and double entry bookkeeping.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
