Job Summary
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in working with the CFO in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and financial activities of the company. This position involves working under the CFO with a team of two accounting professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing effective internal controls. The Staff Accountant will collaborate with various departments to support strategic decision - making, compliance, and overall financial health of KG Facility Solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and variances.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
Collaborate with department heads to create accurate financial forecasts.
Monitor budge performance and report on variances.
3. Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify area for improvement.
Implement measures to mitigate financial risks.
4. Financial Analysis:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision - making.
Provide insights into cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth.
Collaborate with management to develop key performance indicators (KPIs).
5. Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow and liquidity, recommending strategies for improvement.
Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
Manage relationships with financial institutions.
6. Tax Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
Stay current with tax regulations and implement changes as necessary.
Work with external auditors during annual audits.
7. Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
Implement technology solutions to enhance efficiency.
Stay informed about industry best practices and implement improvements.
8. Payroll Processing:
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations.
Review and approve payroll submissions, addressing discrepancies as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
· Proven experience in Accounting or in a similar financial management role.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Preferably QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
· Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills abilities.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
