Director of Business Operations (Hybrid Remote)

COVA Tree, a locally owned and operated tree service company, is seeking a Director of Business Operations (DBO) to oversee and optimize our internal operations. The DBO performs duties and supervises all business operations functions, including administrative, human resources, scheduling, routing, equipment management, and information technology.
Working under the direction of the CEO and in partnership with the VP of Finance, the DBO will guide the operations team through the execution of planned growth as outlined in the business operations plan while enhancing the company’s performance and mitigating business risks.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure smooth daily operations of all office/business-related functions
Manage staff and operations within job scheduling, dispatch, equipment and inventory
Manage and optimize processes related to job payments, human resources, data analysis and reporting
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Oversee and optimize software and technology platforms
Prepare for and manage growth
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required; MBA or advanced credentials preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in business operations and process improvement
Familiar with field-service platforms like HouseCall Pro or similar
