AutoCAD Operator Field Surveyor As Built CAD

Small Architectural firm headquartered in Firestone, CO., and expanding. We are currently looking for CAD Drafters and Building Surveyors.

We specialize in creating Architectural Drawings and generating Square Footage Calculations. We are a small family-owned business with over 40 years in the industry and over a BILLION Square Feet of buildings measured. We are currently expanding and looking to add Nice, Smart, Talented, and hardworking individuals to the Team.

We have open positions for CAD Draftspersons and Building Surveyors. This is an entry-level position, but with the current business growth we've been experiencing, there's plenty of room to move up within the business.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of AutoCAD experience (architecture is a plus), but we are mainly looking for someone with great interpersonal skills, Promptness, Quick Learning abilities, and Excellent Communication. If you have these attributes then you'll be a great fit for this position!

Background on the Job - This is a very specialized position that entails drafting in real-time on-site and then completing the drawings back in the office. We have created a specific software and process to do this work and will provide all the training and equipment necessary to learn. We work on a variety of different types of projects (Commercial, Retail, Residential, Entertainment, Museums, Historical, etc.) so it's always interesting and different from project to project. There is a comfortable mix of spending time working in the office and out in the field surveying. If you don't want to sit behind a desk all day drafting, love architecture, seeing different places/buildings, and creating architectural drawings - Then this is the job for you!

We are based out of Firestone, CO (outside of Denver) and a majority of our business takes place in the Western US area but our projects do occur throughout the U.S. so there will be car and air travel required. The travel can sometimes be short notice or for extended periods - we do try and avoid this if at all possible. We also handle all travel arrangements and cover all travel costs that are incurred while working. This position will take you to a lot of places that you'd normally never see or travel to, and some that you do - we think it's a very cool "perk" of the job.

All Applicants must have reliable transportation and be dependable. It is preferred that all applicants currently live in the vicinity of the office, and will be willing to commute to our location 3-5 days a week to start to help with training. After training, etc. is completed there is the option to work from home, etc.

Compensation is based on experience in our field and benefits can be discussed.
