Role Description
We are looking for a part-time, contract-based Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Designer to support our project team. Engineering experience is preferred but not required. This contract role offers a remote work arrangement to meet the needs of our ongoing projects. As a CAD Designer, you will utilize Autodesk software such as Civil 3D to create accurate technical drawings and plans for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and pipeline infrastructure. Your role is critical in ensuring design precision, adherence to project specifications, and incorporation of current industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed engineering drawings for water and wastewater projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Collaborate with project engineers to convert conceptual designs into technical plans and drawings.
Ensure all designs adhere to specified standards and regulations while maintaining high-quality documentation.
Maintain and organize project-related files and documentation effectively.
Participate in project review meetings, providing technical input to ensure design objectives are achieved.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in CAD design, with significant proficiency in AutoCAD LT (minimum) and Civil 3D, particularly within the water and wastewater sectors.
In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles relevant to water and wastewater infrastructure.
Proven ability to manage projects from conceptualization to completion efficiently.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work.
Excellent organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Technical degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field is preferred.
Contractor Details
This is a 1099 contract position without employee benefits.
Work hours and schedule will be determined based on project needs.
Candidates must be able to provide their own software licenses and equipment for completing the tasks.
