Quality general service and building maintenance through visual, physical inspections and repairs of campus building and equipment as assigned by the supervisor, provided by the TMA corrective / preventive maintenance system.

This position may perform the following tasks: building, installing, repairing, renovating, demolishing, maintaining, finishing and painting structural parts, furnishings, and associated building equipment. Small construction, alteration of structures, maintenance on fixtures and other building equipment.

This position will use hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.

Planning and Customer Service:

Plan, meet and coordinate facility maintenance activities with the supervisor of Structural trades shop and others. Interact daily to ensure operations and maintenance functions are well planned and coordinated so as to minimize inconvenience to the customers.

Schedules and coordinates specific duties i.e. floor covering replacement, AV screens and placement of Special Needs class room furniture.

Purchasing. Scheduling and Estimating:

Performs duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Director, Safety and Security to include but not limited to snow removal, emergency clean ups and after hour emergency call back requests.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal RightsMinimum Qualifications:

Four (4) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position

OR

A combination of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to four (4) years.

Conditions of Employment:

Must maintain a valid and unencumbered Colorado driver license.

Please note that if offered employment, candidates will be required to furnish a copy of themotor vehicle report (MVR)as part of the background check process.

The person selected for this position must maintain their ability to perform the physical demands of this position which include physically manipulating and moving tools, equipment and supplies in excess of 25 lbs. on a frequent basis as well as 50 to 75 lbs. (occasionally).

Must be willing and able to use elevated equipment such as scaffolding and 60 foot boom lift as occasions arise in the performance of painting/maintenance duties.

The person selected for this position must maintain their ability to stand for long periods of time as well as kneel, stoop, crouch, reach and grab in the performance of job related duties.

Must be willing and able to withstand exposure to sights, sounds and smells associated with general maintenance activities.

Must be willing and able to be exposed to adverse weather while performing repair and/or maintenance activities to include snow removal duties.
