Job Description:

Role:
  • Work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to gather and document reporting requirements
  • Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards created from one or more data sources
  • Apply advanced modeling, data mining, machine learning and/or statistical techniques to data and dashboards to generate actionable insights enabling informed decision-making for optimized business and operational performance
  • Develop standardized enterprise dashboards to meet the needs of stakeholders ranging from executive management, team members and multiple business units across the Bank
  • Create mock-ups of reporting products, scorecards, dashboards, etc. to provide visualization to the end user
  • Work with IT, Enterprise Data Management, Project Managers, Business Analysts, stakeholders across multiple business units to systematically plan the launch of new or enhanced dashboards, prepare launch collateral/documentation and work closely with users during UAT, production release and post production warranty phases
  • Develop deep understanding of the Bank's databases, identify appropriate data sources, relationships and logic needed to produce consistently reliable reports
  • Create & support proactive processes to monitor dashboard availability, performance and secure usage across production and non-production environments
  • Contribute to the overall BI strategy and quality of the dashboarding and BI insights
Tableau Maintenance and User Community Support:
  • Document BI processes, compile process maps and take ownership of BI content on the CoE’s Information Center
  • Empower end users through instruction and functional knowledge transfer, training, and perform recurring reporting reviews with stakeholders to walk through opportunities for improvement based upon reporting insights
  • Partner with Network, DBA, NOC and other Infrastructure teams to tackle Tableau upgrades, smoke tests for security patching, connectivity and server configuration changes, etc.
  • Manage Tableau License Allocation and work with Vendor Management and vendors as needed
General:
  • Utilize agile methodologies; participate in daily scrums, testing, code reviews, build release and other weekly meetings and meet deadlines per assigned priorities
  • Join stakeholder meetings to communicate status, give demos, provide timelines and offer insights
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders for BI inquiries and root cause analysis
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related field
  • 1+ years' in a BI-related role
  • 1+ years' in SQL and Tableau data visualization
  • 1+ years' in Data Analytics
  • Application of applied statistics skills in a professional environment
  • Experience creating diagnostic and prescriptive BI insights a huge plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Superior problem-solving skills, multi-tasking skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, acquire and utilize new technologies, disciplines and frameworks as needed
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional customer focus
  • Work well independently under minimal supervision and strong track record of setting and meeting delivery commitments
