Based in Denver, Colorado, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. If you're comfortable with establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, you could be a good candidate for this position.Your responsibilities in this role
Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows
Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules
Filing documents to maintain historical records Requirements - ADP Financial Services experience required
Microsoft Office Suites experience highly desired
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Access
Billing Functions experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Earlier work involving QuickBooks Enterprise
Background working with QuickBooks
Solid understanding of Accounting Software Systems
Microsoft Excel experience preferred
Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations
Adeptness in Accounting Functions
General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Good understanding of Quickbooks Online
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Previous experience with payroll preferred
Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Excel and Peachtree experience desired
Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
