Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.Conduct engineering design/analysis using spreadsheets and programming toolsCreate designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, construction specifications, and final working drawings using programs such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3DWork with CAD designers to produce construction-level drawings including grading, drainage and roadway plans, profiles, details, and sections.Use computer software such as HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS as a tool for solving basic engineering problemsPerform frequency storm and probable maximum precipitation hydrologic analysesConduct hydraulic analyses and design of channels, culverts, bridges, flow measurement, and flood mappingPrepare reservoir and pond designs including geosynthetic lining, leak detection/collection systems, breach analysis, outlet works, and spillwaysDesign channels and energy dissipation structures that include concrete, riprap, articulated concrete block, fabric-formed concrete, and baffle blocks for erosion controlCoordinate with OSE, EPA, and other agencies for permit preparationPerform work in accordance with agreed upon scope, budget, and scheduleScope/estimate complex civil & hydraulics projectsTrack and manage task budgets and schedulesWrite reports and prepare detailed calculation packages including proper documentation and references
