Our Client Services Project Managers come from diverse backgrounds and have an immediate opportunity to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact for our clients. As a Client Services Project Manager, you will build strong rapport with stakeholders in your portfolio, remotely working with them to define and prioritize requests and act as a trusted adviser for solution designs that meet evolving business needs over time.As a Client Services Project Manager you will hold a critical, client facing, role in the Client Services group. You will be responsible for partnering with our clients to manage software development and upgrade projects related to the Huron Research Software (HRS).QualificationsResponsibilities include :
Ability to effectively manage all aspects of a project throughout its lifecycle, from design to deployment to project closeout.
Creation and management of project artifacts including project plans, issue logs, status reports and client dashboards using Smartsheet.
Design, development, and execution of test plans including test cases, issue tracking and User Acceptance Testing. This also includes active participation in testing during all phases of the project.
Daily management of project resources in a matrix management environment.
Daily management and escalation of project control processes, including task management, RAID, scope/change control and quality control.
Manage all aspects of project budgeting including status reporting and escalation to Client Services Leadership to provide analysis, raise risks and complete timely invoicing.
Assist with functional on-boarding new project staff (internal and external), providing instruction on project processes & tools.
Assist with internal initiatives, including improving current project methodology and templates.
Establish priorities for development work that maximizes the value of the Huron Research Suite (HRS) for the client.
Develop estimates for requested work and related Statements of Work. Ensuring design and implementation choices are consistent with best practices.
Document requirements, design, and implementation as required.
Manage any needed change control if project scope and budget change during the life of the project.
Function as a communications conduit between the client and technical resources to set client expectations regarding the project scope and timeline for delivery.
Operate within a complex product and business environment requiring the ability to deal with multiple requests. Able to work independently and maintain focus on priority tasks.
Required:
U.S. work authorization is required.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science systems or equivalent project management/business analysis experience.
10+ years of experience in a professional services project management role facilitating software development projects with both onsite and offsite delivery models/components.
Ability to demonstrate the behaviors critical to developing Trusted Advisor relationships with clients.
Ability to interpret and break down client business needs into distinct business requirements to create and evaluate processes.
Ability to define, develop and manage project plans using project management software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
Experience managing all aspects of a project including issue training, status reporting, financial reporting, and testing.
Ability to set clear expectations with the client including having difficult conversations regarding scope changes, project status and budgeting.
Ability to interact with all levels within an organization.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously including the ability to shift lanes quickly and as needed.
Exceptional client service skills.
Minimal travel is required.
Preferred:
Previous experience in Research Administration and/or Higher Education IT.
PMP or other Project Management certification.
Technical business analyst experience.
Application Development experience.
Consulting experience.
Workday project management tools.
Experience using Smartsheet, specifically project plans and dashboards.
The estimated base salary range for this job is $115,000 - $155,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $132,250 - $193,750. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
