RESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Contracts Specialist to support the lifecycle of contracts and other forms of agreements for delivering professional services. This position plays a key role in ensuring contracts are negotiated, executed, and managed in compliance with legal standards, company policies, and project requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and skilled in managing risk while supporting business objectives. Key responsibilities include:Contract Drafting & ReviewReview, draft, and negotiate engineering service, alternate project delivery, and subconsultant agreements in alignment with company policy and legal standardsDraft and communicate contract redlines and rationale to internal and external stakeholders, identifying risk exposuresCustomize standard contract templates to meet project-specific needs while maintaining consistency with EJCDC and other industry standardsManage contract workflowsContract AdministrationManage contract execution, track milestones, and ensure compliance with all contractual obligationsMaintain accurate records of contract documents, amendments, and correspondenceGenerate reports and analytics to identify risk exposures and gaps in contract managementRisk Management & ComplianceIdentify, assess, and mitigate financial, legal, and operational risksEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, insurances and industry standardsStakeholder CoordinationCollaborate with engineering, legal, project management, and finance teams, as well as clients, subcontractors, and vendors, to facilitate contract executionSupport and coordinate meetings with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on managing contract risks
