Dog Care Attendant - HomeDog

If so, HomeDog is looking for team members to help us create a second home for dogs and their parents. As a Dog Care Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of all dogs in our care. This role requires a love for dogs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in dog handling is a must.

Dog lover – You are an expert ear scratcher and adore dogs of all sizes.
Flexible & Proactive – You will jump in and help with whatever is needed.
Reliable and Trustworthy – You’re on time, consistent, and follow all safety protocols.
Active – You enjoy being on your feet and constantly doing something.
Positive & Enthusiastic – You love dogs and love telling their humans about it.
About the Job:
Lead off-leash doggie playgroups, ensuring dogs have fun while staying safe and sound.
Clean and sanitize all areas.
Bathe dogs as needed.
Supervise dogs in our indoor and outdoor workspace.
Engage with pups and their humans, creating a second home-like experience for everyone.
Share cute photos and updates with dog parents.
Requirements:
Must love dogs!
At least 18 years old
Stellar customer service
Strong work ethic
Comfort working with on- and off-leash dogs of all sizes
Willingness to help everyone on the team with all aspects of the business
Proficient verbal and written communication including data-entry ability
Availability to work weekday (Monday-Friday) AM, Mid, and PM daycare shifts
Ability to stand, bend, and walk throughout your shift – it is physically demanding
Willingness to work outside as needed in various weather conditions
The physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Reliable form(s) of transportation
Previous animal handling/care experience preferred, not required
