Intelligrants Senior Application Programmer

OverviewThe Senior Application Programmer is tasked with overseeing the coding practices of application programmers and ensuring high-quality customization of the Intelligrants grant management software to meet the specific needs. This senior role involves a high level of expertise in software architecture and source code development, as well as collaboration with the application architect and database administrator to support the State's disaster recovery grants management initiatives.This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor a team of application programmers specializing in the Intelligrants software, ensuring adherence to best coding practices and standards.

Lead the customization and configuration of Intelligrants coding to deliver agency-specific functionalities that cater to the complex requirements of the State's use.

Partner with the application architect and database administrator to design systems that effectively leverage the capabilities of the Intelligrants software for disaster recovery grants management.

Oversee the development process, from concept to deployment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to enhance the performance and maintainability of the software.

Develop technical documentation to support the customized functionalities and assist in knowledge transfer within the team.

Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in grant management software to continuously improve the Intelligrants platform.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High level of Intelligrants grant management software architecture

High level experience in Intelligrants source code development done in Python, Heroku PostgreSQL, and Microsoft Power BI

Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Must possess problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written

Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.

Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.

Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.

Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.

Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Technical Expert:Expertise in secure software development, penetration testing, and vulnerability management. Secure Development:Expertise in code review (C#, Java, JavaScript, or similar). Scripting:Familiarity with writing in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, or similar) for automation. Kubernetes Knowledge:Experience securing Kubernetes and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Helm, Istio). Cloud Security Focus:Hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security, including IAM, networking, and compliance frameworks.
