This role will be responsible supporting all four teams in both the IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) domains as well as continuing to build out a clear vision for each of these teams. This position will play a vital role in developing a strategic roadmap and long-term structure for each of these teams. In addition, this role will proactively work with peers and business partners to provide consultation, support, and training to advance the overall Midstream IT/OT strategy.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both IT and OT principles and be able to effectively lead multiple teams to apply industry best practices to our field, support, and service management teams, while also providing thought leadership to the organization.This role will proactively work closely with peers across IT, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity as well as Midstream business partners to effectively collaborate on solutions and priorities.Key Responsibilities
Manages the day-to-day operations of multiple technical teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines and advice on conflicting priorities.
Understands the overall organizational vision and collaborates with management to set team goals that translate into actionable plans at the team level. Adapt and execute plans and priorities based on established strategies and objectives.
Recommend, develop, organize, and communicate roadmaps and contribute to Value Stream roadmaps for IT-Midstream. Assign appropriate IT personnel to roadmap activities, monitor, and expedite activities, and oversee problem resolution.
Maintains a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and leads the team through periods of change and transformation.
Collaborates with key business and IT stakeholders to identify technology needs and opportunities and works with internal IT groups to provide effective solutions to address business needs. Develop continuous improvement techniques.
Identify areas of opportunity for improvement through integration, automation and enhanced business capabilities and ensure we are fully utilizing and benefiting from tools across the enterprise.
Ensures the availability, reliability, and security of technology systems, implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information and prevent disruptions.
Plan, resource, and provide direction and technical leadership for low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manages the department project portfolio effectively through governance and planning processes.
Assists in the development and management of the department budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet business requirements.
Stays abreast of the latest technology trends, industry advancements, and regulatory changes, and makes recommendations for adopting new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
Assesses and identifies technology needs and opportunities, making recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements. Continuously seeks opportunities to optimize processes and workflows.
Partners with leadership to develop strong business cases for technology initiatives.
Participate in the market and solution assessments to address new or enhanced business capabilities.
Identifies and solves technical and operational problems; understands and recognizes broader impact across the area of responsibility.
Build and maintain relationships with in-scope vendors.
Assists in the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards that are in line with area of responsibility and industry standards. Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
Responsible for recruitment, development, retention, and performance management of talent to meet the needs of the business.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.
10+ years of diversified IT experience required.
3+ years of experience leading professional staff required.
Strong understanding of Portfolio and Agile management preferred.
Experience with OT infrastructure preferred.
Experience partnering with suppliers, service providers, business-facing IT, and clients to deliver solutions.
