At Vectra Bank, the possibilities are endless – come for a job, stay for a career. We are looking for a Portfolio Administrator to join our Commercial Real Estate (CRE) group in Denver, CO. This role focuses on providing analysis, support, and service for the bank-wide loan portfolio as directly by the line of the business leader. Essential Functions:
Conducts loan analysis and underwriting for CRE loans. Works with Relationship Manager in structuring loan.
Analyzes project feasibility, completing local market research to support recommendations, including analysis of rental rates, vacancy, and supply/demand fundamentals.
Prepares credit presentations/pre-screens, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning creditworthiness and any risk items or issues.
Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches.
Analyzes financial statements and related material and makes recommendations for approvals of credits, trends, reviews, and reports non-compliance with loan covenants.
Ensures that all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, etc.
Maintains control over current accounts, noting payment progress, watching for any developing problems, and keep loan officers informed.
Keeps abreast of all new credit regulations and laws and ensures compliance.
May assist with special projects as needed.
Will fill in for RM during vacations or sick leave, taking charge of the portfolio, customer contact, and handling of any issues that arise during RM’s absence.
Provide analysis, support and service for the bank-wide loan portfolio as directed by the Line of Business leader.
Prioritize support needs of the portfolios to include workflow management of sales and marketing efforts, MDM risk grading, loan documentation resolution, underwriting and analysis.
Accountable for assessing needs of relationship managers and analysis team and providing portfolio support directed related to credit management, salesforce administration priorities and underwriting practices.
Assist in the collection of documentation and information from Relationship Managers and support proactive research efforts to foster sales.
Ensure complete CP packages and term sheets are submitted for effective consideration.
Provide back up support for renewals, modifications and amendments and partner with analysts and ARM on credit issues.
Qualifications:
Four-year college degree and 5-8+ years of credit analysis experience, working with large commercial loans, to include CRE or other directly related underwriting experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
4+ years of direct CRE underwriting experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge of credit analysis and covenants, working with customers and support of relationship managers.
Knowledge of reporting, regulatory and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory lending requirements.
Ability to work with various types of computer software, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
Strong understanding of credit analysis, identification of credit risk, loan structure, loan documentation, etc.
PC skills required.
Experience with bank loan and database management systems (or a demonstrated aptitude with systems of comparable complexity) strongly preferred.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills needed to accurately convey questions, conclusions, and recommendations.
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $140,000 - $200,000 annually depending on job-related factors.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors such as but not limited to, level of experience, skills, expertise, location, education, and certifications.
