Job Description

  • Participate in business development for UXworkand opportunities for the team, contributingmethodology and customized approach to growth opportunities for existing and new clients.
  • Innovate ways to service clients, both new and existingin the area of UX– design sprints, unique user research methods, iterative design/testing, etc.
  • Hiring, onboarding, andmanaging a team(ranging from junior to senior members).
  • Experience/willingness tobe responsible/accountableinfinancial, operational, and resourcingtasks, including but not limited to forecast planning, utilization reporting,margin management, scope identification,project planning,etc.
  • Foster UX engagements from initialsales phase, to pitch, to scope/price,to onboarding team members,tokickoff,and continued support as needed.
  • Ability to balance short and long-term deadlines,
  • Collaborate with other leaders across the DX organization (technology, creative, content, project management, etc.) as well as with leaders on other Merkle teams (growth, account management, other design teams,etc.)
  • Provide input tochanging go-to-market strategies to stay on top of industry trends and meet organizational revenue goals.
  • Balance business development with people management, operations,anddesign work.

Qualifications

  • 12-15+ years ofrelevantexperience in digital design, with preferably at least 8 years in UXdesign.
  • Experience managing at scale.
  • Solidbackground/understanding of UX, design thinking, methodology, and design operations.
  • Passion forDesignOpsand how to build, scale, train, and refine teams, tools, andprocesses/deliverables that help the team be more efficient, scalable, andenjoyable.
  • Solid understanding of current and future digital, marketing, and technology trends across devices, platforms, and digital channels.
  • Experiencedesigning forsite, mobile app, and SaaS experiences.
  • Passion for user experience, strategy, problem-solving, andinnovation.
  • Detail oriented, but a big picture thinker.
  • Must haveprior digital agency experience, preferably in a mid to large sizedagency setting.
  • 5-8+ years ofdirectpeople management experience, preferably experience with managing other managers, not just individual contributors
