Job Requisition ID #24WD76520Position OverviewWe are looking for an experienced executive communications and media relations professional to join our team. You will bring, communications expertise, energy and creativity to help our chief sustainability officer find and authentically tell stories about Autodesk to customers, external influencers and employees through compelling speeches, presentations and written communications. Experience working with sustainability, in Autodesk's important industries, or for a global technology company are an asset.You will report to the Director, Head of Corporate and Crisis CommunicationResponsibilities

Develop and execute an annual strategic executive communications plan for our chief sustainability officer and main impact events in collaboration with other teams including employee communications, public relations, and social media

Develop earned media strategies for our chief sustainability officer and important impact moments throughout the year

Develop an internal communications strategy and create content to help inform the Impact team, and drive the message of the organization across the company

Work directly with our chief sustainability officer, their chief of staff and key subject matter experts to develop the narrative arcs for and create presentations and talks to be given to customers, shareholders, the board of directors, employees, and influencers. Develop ways to reuse this content by other leaders within the Impact team and in other parts of the company

Embed in the organization and participate in meetings as requested with the chief sustainability officer and their leadership, helping shape strategy, providing a point of view on what and how is communicated, and debating that POV with direct staff

Support the chief sustainability officer's social media program by creating or editing social media posts; suggest shares content related to Autodesk's business; and propose new ways to engage across platforms

Work across the communications team, the Impact group, and with partners across the company on communications projects in the best interests of the company and its employees

Support teammates on high-priority communications projects related to crisis response, and merger and acquisition activity,

Skills

Ability to brainstorm creative new communications strategies with the chief sustainability officer, collaboratively and with influence

Identify new opportunities and complete them to help the chief sustainability officer further the Autodesk brand

Media relations experience identifying and securing opportunities, building relationships, and preparing spokespeople

Understanding of Autodesk's business, experience with cloud software companies, or familiarity with the industries Autodesk serves

Familiarity with sustainability topics such as decarbonization, climate tech, ESG, green jobs.

Strong written skills to distill complex content into concise, and engaging communications, and ability to write with speed and accuracy

Storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives to support our business strategies

Experience developing communications strategies, plans, programs and events

Strong presence and confidence which will help build high credibility with senior executives

Ability to influence without authority, across functions, geographies and levels, and the ability to work with various departments and teams to drive alignment and collaboration

Work proactively, meet deadlines, while ensuring quality and accuracy

Focused and performance-driven

Use project management skills in this role with sharp attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of experience in executive communications, public relations, and/or employee communications

Exceptional PowerPoint and keynote preparation and execution skills

Four-year college degree (BS or BA) in English, Communications or Journalism; or equivalent work experience

Occasional travel required

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $115,600 and $187,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
